Feature Story

The Brief

For this assignment, I was given a so-called "blank canvas" with only two parameters: create either a feature story or op-ed. I chose to write a feature story about my mom that delved into her career and her impact in the non-profit sector. I researched her career and conducted an interview to get a look into her mind about how she got to where she is today. Stepping into a more journalistic mindset, I let the words flow, and after I finished writing, I went back to polish and correct mistakes.
